Dr. Earhart received his B. A. in psychology from UCLA and then worked at the Neuropsychiatric Institute for the UCLA Center for Autism Research and Treatment (CART). He began graduate school at the University of Texas, Austin and completed his doctorate in Counseling, Clinical, and School Psychology from UC Santa Barbara. Dr. Earhart completed internship and fellowship at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. He taught a graduate level course on child and adolescent psychotherapy at USC and was a Clinical Psychologist and Associate Professor in the Pediatrics Department at UC San Francisco. Alongside private practice, Dr. Earhart works as a NICU Psychologist at Miller Children's Hospital in Long Beach, CA.
Dr. Earhart has worked in schools, hospitals, correctional facilities, mental health clinics, and in private practice.
Dr. Earhart has completed trainings in Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), DIR Floortime, Pivotal Response Treatment, The Incredible Years Program, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Postpartum Depression, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
Dr. Earhart also has a range of experiences inside and outside of the office that guide his work. He is a husband and father of five, an avid traveler, a lover of sports, and a dabbler in video games (if only to stay connected with the youth :). While Dr. Earhart has training in a range of areas, he has a particular interest in helping boys and young men find their way in these complicated times as well as helping parents strengthen their relationships with their children and navigate their parenting journey.
